FAQ

  • What are your fees?

    Initial Consultation (80 minutes): $750

    Follow-up visit, including psychotherapy (45 min): $450

    Brief follow-up visit (25 min): $350

  • Do you accept insurance?

In order to provide you with the highest possible quality of personalized care, I do not accept insurance or Medicare. This allows us to tailor your treatment based on your needs, without limitations imposed by third parties. Many PPO plans provide partial reimbursement and I can provide you with a detailed "Superbill" to submit, if you like. Please contact your insurance plan for information on out-of-network benefits.

  • Do you see patients in person?

I am currently seeing patients located in California virtually by tele-psychiatry only. I may soon begin offering limited in-person visits in San Francisco again, so please inquire if this is of interest.

  • What are your hours?

I see patients Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10am to 3:30pm, and occasional Friday mornings. Outside of these hours, I will respond to secure messages in 24-48 hours. For emergencies, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

As I am holding my time for you, I request 2 business days notice for any cancelation. If I am able to fill your time with another appointment, I will refund your fee. For weekly psychotherapy appointments, I request one week notice, when possible.

  • Do you prescribe pharmaceutical medications?

Yes, when clinically indicated and desired.

  • Do you provide disability evaluations?

I do not provide disability evaluations for new patients. I will complete paperwork that may come up for established patients, with my time billed at my usual session rate.
