Welcome.
Life can be overwhelming, with difficult emotions and self-defeating thoughts. We may act in ways that don't align with our values, and then feel even worse. Or, we may feel disconnected, blunted, unable to focus, or too fatigued to enjoy life.
For some of us, we have struggled through life like this; resilient, yet exhausted. For others, we may be navigating unknown territory, brought on by acute stressors, loss, illness, pregnancy, or a role transition such as parenthood.
It doesn’t have to be like this. As a UCSF-trained, board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist with an integrative approach, I can help you find relief, gain internal balance, and rediscover joy and clarity of purpose.
I specialize in holistic psychiatry. This means that, in addition to deeply understanding your lived experience, we will investigate biological processes to identify the root causes of your struggles. Together, we will explore all potential contributors to your distress, from early life experiences, relationships, internal conflicts, and societal demands, to gut microbiome health, nutrient deficiencies, genetics, metabolic and mitochondrial health, and more. Then, we can heal at the source.
As much as we may long for balance, making the changes to get us there can feel impossible. It’s not. I have seen firsthand the life-changing possibilities to this approach; I am deeply inspired and I am here to walk this path with you.
You deserve vitality.
A life of authenticity, clarity and connection is possible.
Integrative means that we tend to all aspects of your wellbeing- your body and biochemistry, your feelings, your thoughts, your sense of purpose and connection to yourself, others, and the universe.
Integrative also means that we integrate treatments from conventional academic medicine (psychopharmacology and psychotherapies) with other powerful, evidence-backed tools: mindfulness and movement practices, nutritional interventions, herbs and adaptogens, vitamins, minerals and other supplements, breathwork, and more.
